The young men attacking these Jews aren’t “Islamists” in the strict sense of that word. Rather, they’re criminal thugs who’ve grown up in their own little immigrant micro-culture in which Islam is ever dominating, and which is, for that very reason, intolerant to Jews, gays, and others. This culture exists amidst a wholly dissimilar Dutch culture which is simply unable to comprehend how and why attitudes like that shown in the videos still endure. The latter culture has absolutely zero respect from the former.

Last night’s events occurred while the Kristallnacht is being commemorated throughout the West, and the bitter irony is that the very legacy of the Holocaust now serves to blur our view on what’s happening on the streets of Amsterdam, London, Paris and Berlin. Western elites have understandably been saddled with guilt since 1945, and they are for this reason unable and unwilling to put a halt to this sort of viciously anti-social behavior.

In saner times riot police would have arrived within minutes and rounded these scumbags up. But Dutch culture is meek and guilt-ridden, and doesn’t believe in anything any longer, let alone its own superiority over objectively backward cultures found in the Middle East and Africa (and no, I’m not saying that the people there are inferior to us, before you hit that Fatwa button). And so, too many Dutch people cannot be made to see that sometimes weakness begets violence, and violence may prevent more violence while protecting the innocent.

Sadly, the immigrant youth correctly conclude from this that they have free reign to dominate their neighborhoods and entire cities, and even have carte blanche to start hunting Jews on the streets. I’ve said it before: Islam isn’t the problem — we are.

The images coming out of Amsterdam are depressing to watch. I’m just ashamed of my former country and disgusted by the inept local leadership in that god-forsaken city.

Update Sunday 11/10:

A clip obtained via @BartNijman on Dutch X. The person talking says “Today, we’re going on a Jew hunt, man! A Jew hunt!” before going off in either Arabic or (more likely) the North African Berber language.

The Dutch are currently debating, in typical fashion, whether the attacks on Jews in Amsterdam on Thursday night were prompted by the behavior of the Israelis, mostly fans of Maccabi Tel Aviv soccer club, which played a game in Amsterdam that night. Videos have popped up on this platform showing this group singing some nasty songs about the war in Gaza and a few clips even showing them prancing around with metal bars, seemingly up to no good. Many have also pointed out that, right before the game, the Israeli fans disturbed a minute of silence for the Spanish flood victims.

None of this comes as a surprise to any person having experience with soccer hooligans in Europe. I’m sure many of these Israelis were no angels.

That said, this discussion seems to me to be utterly beside the point. First of all, we can dispel with the nonsensical point about the minute of silence off the bat: Not many of these immigrant thugs had probably heard about the floods to begin with, and most probably couldn’t even point to Spain on a map. And those who could most likely couldn’t care less about the tragic events there recently. (Though perhaps not very kind things to say, Dutch people know them to be true.)

And even if it’s true these Israelis were misbehaving during their time in Amsterdam, is the appropriate response to this to call up your buddies to tell them you’re going to meet up and “hunt Jews”? Is that what normal — dare I say civilized — people would do? No, they would stay out of the way and go on with their lives. It’s not like Amsterdam has never been the scene of hooligan violence before. It’s probably a twice-a-year event.

Predictably, reports are popping up undermining this “the Jews asked for it” narrative altogether, for it now appears groups of young immigrant men were already pre-planning their attacks via the Telegram messaging app well before Thursday night. Several taxi drivers in Amsterdam as well as a security guard employed at the local casino were involved. Indeed, a few incidents already occurred on Wednesday, according to Dutch daily De Telegraaf (link in English in replies below).

The usual suspects on the Dutch Left will no doubt continue to deny the simple facts and logic outlined above. But ask yourself this: If it had been white people going on Jew hunts in the streets of Amsterdam, would the folks currently defending these Muslim thugs have jumped on the barricades for the perpetrators with equal vigor?

That’s a rhetorical question, by the way.
